Welcome to Talevonia. We respect your privacy and are committed to transparency regarding how we collect, use, store, and share your information when you use our services. This Privacy Policy describes what data we may collect, how we use it, with whom we share it, and your rights regarding your data.
1. What Data We Collect
Depending on how you use Talevonia — including registration, login, AI-assisted features, or in-app purchases — we may collect the following categories of data:
1.1 Account & Registration Data
- Phone number (if you choose phone number registration)
- Email address (if you use email registration or third-party login that provides email)
- Display name / username (if provided or retrieved)
- Internal User ID (a unique identifier generated by our system, linked to your account)
1.2 Third-Party Login Data
If you choose to log in via a third-party identity provider (e.g., Apple, Google, Facebook, or others), we may obtain from them the following, subject to your consent:
- Email address
- Display name / profile name
- Profile picture (if provided)
- Third-party provider user ID or identifier
1.3 Device & Technical Data
- Device identifier (e.g., UUID, advertising-ID, or other device ID), if needed for anti-abuse, subscription / usage management, login session, or device-specific restrictions
- Crash, performance, diagnostic data, if you enable diagnostic reporting — for the purpose of improving app stability or troubleshooting issues
1.4 Usage, Subscription & Interaction Data
- Subscription status, usage quotas / credits, purchase receipts — for managing in-app purchases and AI usage entitlements
- Usage or interaction data (if you consent to enable analytics / telemetry), such as session durations, feature usage counts, or general application interaction data
1.5 User Content for AI Features
- Content you voluntarily submit to AI-assisted features (e.g., prompts, story excerpts, text for expansion or rewriting)
- Minimal contextual metadata required to perform the AI request (e.g., language preference, request settings)
Note: Your personal creative work (stories, branches, characters, etc.) created and stored locally does not count as collected data, unless you explicitly send portions of it through AI features.
2. How We Use the Data
- Account creation, login, and authentication, including phone-number verification or third-party login verification.
- Subscription, credit & quota management, to enable paid features or limit usage based on your plan or entitlements.
- Delivery of AI-assisted features: forwarding your submitted text (prompts or content) to third-party AI service providers, obtaining the AI response, and returning it to you.
- Anti-abuse, security, and fraud prevention, e.g., preventing automated abuse or account sharing, managing device restrictions.
- App stability and performance improvement, if diagnostic / crash reporting is enabled with your consent.
- Core app functionality, including license verification, session management, ensuring the validity of subscriptions / credits, and enforcing terms of service.
3. Third-Party Service Providers & Data Sharing
- For AI-assisted features, we send your submitted content and minimal contextual metadata to the third-party AI service provider to generate a response.
- For third-party login, we may receive your basic profile information (email, display name, provider-specific ID) from the identity provider you select.
- We do not share or sell your personal data (phone number, email, identifiers) to any third parties for marketing or advertising purposes.
- We do not use your data to build user profiles for advertising, nor do we engage in targeted advertising based on your personal data.
You are encouraged to review the privacy policies of the third-party providers used — as their data handling practices apply once data is transferred to them.
4. Your Rights & Controls
4.1 Your Rights Under Applicable Privacy Laws
Depending on your jurisdiction (for example, the European Union under GDPR, or California under CCPA/CPRA), you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access: request information about what personal data we hold about you.
- Right to rectify: correct inaccurate or incomplete personal data.
- Right to delete (erasure / right to be forgotten): request deletion of your personal data from our systems and request third-party processors to do the same.
- Right to data portability: request your personal data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
- Right to withdraw consent and object to processing: if we process data based on your consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time; you can also object to certain processing activities (such as analytics, profiling, or third-party sharing).
- Right to opt out of sale or sharing of personal data (for applicable jurisdictions, e.g., certain U.S. states such as California under CCPA/CPRA) when relevant.
4.2 How to Exercise Your Rights
- To request access, correction, deletion, data export (portability), or to withdraw consent / object to processing, contact us at [email protected].
- We will verify your identity via your account credentials (e.g., email or phone number you provided) to ensure security and avoid unauthorized requests.
- We will respond to your request within a reasonable timeframe (typically within 30 days, unless a valid legal reason requires extension) in compliance with applicable law.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
- Account & registration data (phone number / email / user ID / subscription / credits / usage history): Retained only for as long as your account exists. Once you delete or deactivate your account, this data will be erased.
- Local creative content: Remains exclusively on your device and is not uploaded nor retained on our servers by default. If you delete the app or your content locally, we no longer hold any copy.
- AI request data: We do not store your prompts or AI responses beyond the minimal period required to fulfill the request, unless you explicitly consent to storage (e.g., for history or re-use).
- Diagnostic / crash data: If collected, is retained only as necessary for debugging or stability improvements; we do not link such data to personal identifiers unless user consent is given.
6. Optional Features & Consent
- Registration / login via phone number or third-party provider is optional. If you do not wish to register, you may still use Talevonia’s local writing features (without AI).
- AI-assisted features are optional. If you choose not to use them, no content or personal data is sent externally.
- Diagnostic / usage analytics reporting is optional; you may opt out at any time via the app settings.
Prior to first activation of each optional feature (login, AI, diagnostics), the app will present a clear consent request explaining what data will be collected/sent, for what purpose, and what rights you have to withdraw consent or request deletion.
7. Children’s Privacy
- Talevonia is not directed to children under 13 years old.
- We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
- If we inadvertently obtain personal data from a child under 13 (for example through phone number login or AI request), we will promptly delete that data upon discovery or notification.
8. Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app features or applicable laws and regulations. When updates occur, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top. Your continued use of Talevonia after updates implies acceptance of the revised policy.
